Graduate Student on MINERvA

I am from Guatemala (Central America), besides Physics I love food, sports, movies and I really love to travel and to know and learn from people. I have lived for more than 2 years in 3 different countries: Italy, Chile and the USA. This has helped me to appreciate the differences and similarities between different cultures and people circumstances.

Fermilab has a diverse and vibrant graduate student & postdoc population invested in forward-thinking research driven by the desires to innovate and to make an impact. In the two years that I spent here in Fermilab I have been able to appreciate that FSPA has the potential to be an effective vehicle for creating new networks of advocacy and production that could foster the development of collaboration, resources, and support across departments. In the past I have been part of similar Associations (High School & Undergraduate) and what motivates me the most is that the FSPA officer’s representative structure enables the young researchers from across the Lab to come together and look for situations that can be improved and how to benefit from your stay at Fermilab both professionally and recreationally.
