Hi, I’m Luke, an MSU postdoc, based at Fermilab, working on the DUNE and T2K experiments. I am thoroughly enjoying my time at Fermilab. Obviously there’s the unique opportunity to do world-class HEP research, but really its the community here that makes all that worth doing. Since arriving from the UK just over two years ago, I’ve felt very much at home, and FSPA-organized events have been an important part of that process. The Kuhn Barn BBQs and seasonal events are a great way to meet people. I especially enjoyed the New Perspectives conference, which offers a place for younger researchers to share their interest for their work cross-collaboration and cross-discipline.

I’m interested in trying to give something back to this wonderful community that has welcomed me, and I think that serving on the FSPA is a great opportunity to do so!
